Mascara preference + Top 3 Beauty Things + Michelle Phan?

Mascara Preference (a request from a friend [shoutout to BabyRach] who's starting out makeup) ? Well, for one, I dont wear mascara everyday, its for parties..this is because my face is a baby face and mascara looks too much when its not a formal occasion. But when I do wear mascara, I either wear drugstore (Covergirl LashBlast...gimme some love) or Lancome's High Defincils in black.

Here's a tag thats been going around. Top 3 Beauty Products you use everyday and canNOT live without.
Well, everyday I either put on BareEscentuals Matte powder with their Flawless Face brush\So powder is one.
Number two is Clinique skin care stuff whether it be the lotion or the clinical dark spot corrector or the eye cream, I love Clinique skin care stuff so so much.
Number three is eyeliner, though there are days I can get lazy and skip out. I really really want purple eyeliner, like a plum shade! I have indigo and black, but I do not have purple and I really want it! Mac has a pencil that comes in a shade called Bordeauxville and I really want it. I just take the eyeliner and go on the outer half of my waterline. When I go on all the way, it needs mascara, otherwise it looks like I have no lashes.

Another thing I wanted to talk to you about is Michelle Phan. She is the new Lancome Video Makeup Artist and theres a lot of controversy. I for one think its a great thing because she is totally talented and Lancome is awesome. If I were to be affiliated with any one makeup brand, it would either be Lancome, Mac, or Clinique, but I dont think I will be mainly because I dont do elaborate makeup tutorials or any thing, I just started a blog! Thats a start!!

Eye Cream

So, I want to talk to you about eye cream and in order to do that, im going to sound like a advertising man trying to sell you bleach.

DO YOU HAVE DARK CIRCLES UNDER YOUR EYES? ARE PUFFINESS AND CIRCLES MAKING YOUR PRETTY FACE UGLY?! THEN USE EYE CREAM!

Hahaha, now honestly, so many people have dark circles under their eyes and I find eye cream to work (not to be used in substitute of sleep). I use Clinique All About Eyes and I bought the 0.5 oz one for $30 and then they came up with a new improved one and now im all mad!! So the new improved one has botanicals and it works faster and its called All About Eyes Rich.
If you want the best of the best and you're willing to pay the big bucks, theres always LaMer Eye Cream or Eye Concentrate ($165 for 0.5 oz).
And I've got to tell you....after using eye cream, I've seen a huge difference. I will post before and after shots later (when we get more viewers to this site). Honestly, this eye cream is ah-mazing and even if you chose a less expensive option than Clinique, it'll still make some sort of difference. So try it out and you tell me... are puffiness and circles still make your pretty face ugly?

Welcome + A Little Taste of Us

Welcome, I am Charlotte Hansen. My sister, Felicity, and I are managing this blog: sugarglitter.blogspot.com.
So, what happens is that I'm the makeup guru and she's about fashion. So we'll make posts every couple of days about whats new in the world of Hansen and Gretel (its a reference to the fairytale).
So check back whenever you can and we'll be waiting with more from the Beauty Fairytale.

p.s. i know at the side it says we live in Hollywood, CA, but thats only me. Felicity lives in Maryland.

So now for the little taste of us part... I'm going to talk a little about makeup? Now everyday, I use mineral foundation, eyeliner, and lipstick as well as the thing I like to consider my energy source... NAIL POLISH! Now I dont really care about the brands, but my favorites are Revlon ($4 at Target) or Sinful Colors ($2 at Rite Aid or Walgreens). OPI is obviously the best, but those are $8 (CVS) and im the kind of person who would rather have 50 cheaper nailpolishes than 12 expensive-r ones...the quality isnt much different either. I'll put up a picture later and end this little taste with a couple of questions for you guys to answer. What makeup do you wear everyday? How much to a party? Whats your nailpolish opinion?
